Choosing a graphics card
Hi,
I'm not really the one to ask questions about hardware, but ever since I installed Mac OS X on "SYSTEM 2" (see my signature) I have run into nothing but trouble with graphics. I can't live with this AGP nVidia GeForce Tornado 5200 FX. I only get 800x600 and no QE/CI anything I have tried has not worked. I also have a PCI ATI Radeon (not sure of the model) that supports VESA 2.0 up-to 1280x1024, but one of my friends told me that PCI does not support QE/CI. I have a little spare cash, so could someone recommend me a cheap (about $50) AGP x4 graphics card? my mobo only supports AGP x4 and PCI. Hmm, as far as i know Radeon X1600 ( or any from X1000 ) series, is working with AGP4X, and X1600 should cost something around 50$ ( though im not sure about the price, cant check right now, sorry ). Im using it for over a year now, and it works great. I remember Naquuada having one too ( X1600 Pro ), so this one works for sure.
