Is there a such thing as writing to a disk too slow?
I initially wrote the leopard 10.5.2 disc at 16x and that one totally didnt work.

then i worte it at 1x to make sure everything was written correctly to the disc.

now i get the following error:

SAM Multimedia Read or Write Failed
Sense_key = 0x06, ASC = 0x29, ASCQ = 0x00
Sense_key = 0x06, ASC = 0x29, ASCQ = 0x00
Sense_key = 0x06, ASC = 0x29, ASCQ = 0x00
Waiting for root device

and thats it. it did not reprint the "Waiting..." text anymore it did nothing else.

so am i writing to the disc too slowly?

i gotta get some rw dvd+ cause i got like 1000 coasters, lol.

Found this over at http://www.spectralogic.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=support.senseCodeForm&CatID=2 47

SCSI Error Code Lookup: 6-29-00
Error Description(s): (6-29-00) Spectra Logic assigned code.

Power On, Reset, or Bus Device Reset Occurred. The library or QIP has been reset or has just been powered on.
Spectra Logic Support Team Suggests:

This will occur whenever a host communicates with the library the first time after power on. If the library has just been powered on or reset, ignore this error message. If the library has already established communication with the host and this error subsequently occurs, it's likely the host didn't get a proper response or a timeout occurred. Contact Spectra Logic Technical Support. Make a note of what media was in a drive at the time, and get a QIP trace if possible. If the error recurs frequently, it may be necessary to run a QIP trace as the error occurs.

Dont know what this means but hopefully someone out there does.

My specs:
Processor: AMD Athlon™ 64 X2 5600+
Motherboard: Asus M2N32 SLI Delux WiFi edition (chipset nForce 590 SLI)
Graphics: NVidia 8600 GT
Hard Drive: Seagate 320Gb SATA, Seagate 80Gb IDE (for MacOSX)
DVD-RW: Optiarc DVD RW AD-7173S SATA
Sound card: SoundMax ADI 1988B
Memory: 1024 x 4 DDR2 OCZ PC7200

Can I modify ISO with some Windows utility to insert/delete necessary kexts?

yea but i thought this version was suppose to add support or SATA, as i do not own an IDE drive or have an IDE connector/interface on my computer.

It's related to AppleNForceATA which is a driver developed by MeDevil.
There is still a lot of work to do on it and it doesn't support all chipsets correctly.
Maybe the next release ?

Mac OS X 10.6.3 • 2.8 GHz Intel Core I7 860 • ASUS P7P55D • 2 GB 2 Ghz DDR3 • ATI RADEON XFX 4890 1GB • 2 x Hitachi 160 GB Serial-ATA • PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-112 • LaCie Desktop Harddrive 750 GB USB
