I've burned this iso 5 times. using different brands (HP, Verbatim & Memorex) and they all give me the same message. I've tried using different programs to write the image to the disc also (ImgBurn, TransMac & Nero). same issue.

[cite] zephyroth:[/cite]It's related to AppleNForceATA which is a driver developed by MeDevil.
And no burn problems!
Can anyone make a ppf patch for Zeph's 10.5.2 with old MeDevil's drivers?

Um... Why don't you just install 10.5.1then? After it installs you can always add the 9.2.0 kernel (if you want) and the 10.5.2 updates already patched for AMD (if you want). The 10.5.2 .kexts are widely available. And you can add EFI to either one if that's what you're looking for...

Running both 10.5.8 and 10.6.4 on my stinking AMD/ATi machine...

the checksum is correct and im going to guess it IS just the kext. I'm going to try and use the one from 10.5.1 and see if this helps with my initial issue of it giving me that "SAM media read or write failed" message.

Where are they located on the DVD disc?

ok, yea i tried that and it gives me an immediate kernal panic. so i need to somehow edit these kext and find out whats in 10.5.1's kext that allows me to get to the installation program, then add it to 10.5.2's extensions.mkext.

It takes a few weeks for Zephyroth... =)
It's too complicated for me (I've tried). And I've expected for OOTB version.

Sounds like you're going to have to wait and see if MeDevil (or someone) builds a .kext that actually supports the nforce 5xx series...
