nVidia GeForce 5200 FX not working

Hi,

I am having many a problem with my nVidia GeForce 5200 FX.

Anything I try has currently not worked.

CoreVidia injector works (and it's the only injector that does work), but once I boot into OS X, I am in the wrong res. (1360 x 768, should be 1440x900.) and I cannot get past logging in. After logging in the screen fades into blue w/ only a mouse pointer. The only thing that happens in the mouse moving over a blue screen.

I have not currently found a solution

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
~ Cleo

Give it to me. I need one to mod and put into my PowerMac G4, PPC ;-) Kidding bro, don't mind me.

Well, i don't know exactly what would be the best to try with that card. Maybe to try with updating AGPgart, there are sort of newer ones.

nVidia Geforce 5200 FX not working

I had one of those cards worked ok in Tiger now I have ATI sapphire radeon pro AGP 2400 and it works ok on my sys iDeneb 10.5.6 with voodoo kernel 9.6

AMD 3200+
MS1 6741 MB
Radeon Sapphire HD2400 pro AGP
Heres the link for that card above much better I think than going through all those endless experiments its not all that expensive $50 thereabouts going soon as the AGP cards are passing into history

AGPGart doesn't work with my nVidia GeForce 5200 FX says Slice, (Dev. of AGPGart).

I see, so maybe it's better to go with the second card you have, ati agp, than to mess with fx5200. They are pretty cheap here, like 10eur for FX5200. In my G4 i have now ATI 9250 modded to Mac edition ATI9200 and it works just fine. I have Quartz (in 10.4.11) but natively no core image for ati9200 in Tiger so i was planning to hook it up with 5200 and get CI/QE in full under Tiger.

I Think I have a ATI Sapphire around here...

only 64 MB vram, but I guess it's worth a shot.

EDIT:

Inserted ATI Sapphire card into PC.

Now having 1024x786 res.

I have not got a clue what the ATI card is, but System profiler is showing...
