Leo4allv3final (transfer files)

Hello guys, this weekend was my 1st attempt to add mac onto my HP laptop. I did everything right. erased the HD, did the install and everything is all good. my problem is this. When it reboots, and I select US, select the English, then it ask do I want to transfer old files. I will select no to transfer at another time and once I hit next, it will wait for about 30 secs or so and take me back to the start to select US again and it does that over and over. I tried selecting other options but I don't have a mac to do a mac to mac transfer. I don't have a mac on another partition to transfer from a backup.

How can I get passed this?

I was able to fix this problem by using this hack

Type:
CODE
/sbin/fsck -fy
/sbin/mount -uw /
touch /var/db/.ApplesetupDone
passwd root

and enter new password

now my problem is I can't connect to the network

Post the name of the ethernet chip used on your computer - best case with it's Device ID.

(1) Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 • Gigabyte GA-P31-DS3L • 2GB DDR2-800 • ATI Radeon HD 4350 512MB • Mac OS X 10.6.2
(2) AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+ • ASRock AM2NF6G-VSTA • 1GB DDR2-533 • GeForce 7600 GT 256MB • BCM4318 • Mac OS X 10.6.2
(3) Asus eee 900A • Intel Atom N270 1.6 Ghz • 1GB DDR2-533 • 16GB SuperTalent SSD + 4GB SDHC • BCM4311 • Mac OS X 10.6.2 + Arch Linux

I think there is no support for your Wireless card, but I have uploaded a Kernel Extension, which I think should work with your Ethernet chip - at least it has the correct IDs:
