Sound isnt working

when i turn on my computer starts up and then the sound cuts out after i open another application, i think it is something to do with my sound driver. So i think im going to try to reinstall my sound driver but i cant find the link anywhere, i have a Realtek ALC850 Driver, so i need someone to provide me the kext download or if there is another problem please help me fix this.

Thank you

thankyou fir the reply. Unfortunently being the impatient person I am I tried I restore a time machine backup to see if that would help. I did that and it said it had succesfully restored but now when I restarted my computer it doesn't load up OS X. It just hangs at the part before it where it searches for bootable DVD's. Is there something I am missing? How can I fix this? Or have I killed my hackintosh :S

Time machine doesn't restore the bootloader. Try to reinstall chameleon via another bootable install (if thats an option) otherwise use PC_EFI to at least get back to your HD then reinstall chameleon.

You can boot using the install dvd's bootloader. Just leave it in the drive and don't press anything. Once you reach the desktop, download and run the chameleon pkg installer
