Is it possible to mod the ROM on this card so that Darwin will detect the correct size? The card is 512MB but during boot up, Darwin is only showing 32MB. Though it is displayed correctly inside Leopard (System Profiler).

i have the 256 mb version, darwin says it's 14 mb, system profiler 256mb. My card functions correctly so i don't really care about that bug. If you really want to fix it try flashing your card AT YOUR OWN RISK http://nvinject.free.fr/512Mb.html

I have looked at those instructions but it mentions somewhere on the page that its known to work with only the 6/7 series cards. So just wondering if it would work with 8xxx series too.

Also, if I do mod it, would the card still work with Windows? I currently have dual boot set up.

i searched the forums (InsanelyMac and NVinject), looks like nobody tried to mod a 8xxx card!
