Thanks eddie! I dont have EFI, but it works perfect. After reboot, it went black for about 2 minutes, just as you said, and after the desktop loaded and it was 10.5.2.

have you yourself or heard of anyone else experiencing kernel panics? I have been getting many kernel panics specifically when downloading files using transmission. I am sure that it has to with either the files download process or writing to the disk. I have disabled the screen save and power saver because I thought that was the cause but no luck.

Again my hardware is:
Asus M2N32E_SLI Deluxe, ADM 4200+
2gb DDR2 MEM.
nVidia 7300G video card
LAN: built in wifi RTL8187L

I'm having the same problem, it has to do with the nforceata kext. It is for nforce 3 and 4, not 5.

I got one new kext, which is better than the old one, but not 100% okay. I think you just need to wait for a while, for the packages to come )
