ok forgive me but I don't get "how" to use this guide...
Can someone give a few pointers please... do I need a mac to start any of this? How do I make a boot disk from the .dmg file? Last edited by Richdave; 02-01-2010 at 10:31 AM. |

milanca: Have you been able to make a package for Snow Leopard yet?

We progressed a lot with Leopard and Snow Leopard and DSDT so a real package is really not needed anymore. What is needed now for this particular board, what i am using, is just one kext which is fakesmc and one fake plist to get the vanilla sound working. I will update this post with the latest DSDT, stay tuned.

@milanca,
I have the same motherboard and I used your DSDT without gfx in 10.6.4 with AnVAL4 bootoader. In Extra/Extensions I have only (64) fakesmc.kext IOAHCIBlockStorageInjector.kext LegacyJMB36xSATA.kext Every seems to work but my CPU is 58 celsius even at start. Any idea ? Thank a lot for all job |

I am on my laptop right now so i can't upload my latest and actual DSDT. I will upload it tomorrow. I don't know which version of dsdt you are using, it went through lots of changes. My latest one has speedstep code for Q6600 and temps go around 35C on idle. If you have different cpu than Q6600 you will have to modify the speedstep code for it.
