Off-Topic Need help

hey guys this might sound Off-Topic, but i have this HP that i want to break and claim for a new one. I want a new one because the current one i have has only 1GB RAM 100GB hard Drive and GMA950 graphic card. I want to break this so i can get an upgrade for like for free. I have Mac OS X on my home PC but im gonna go to germany and i want show my friends the Mac on a Pc to them so i want to install on my laptop. Last time WinLinMac helped me to do the same with my PC and now my Pc is like 10x better then my old one. So if anyone how i can break my laptop to claim for that would be great.
Thx in advance.

hmm. well first off, I'm going to suggest that anyone wishing to help in this endeavor NOT post here but rather PM kisho directly with their ideas. With this kind of request, the forum should not be linked to any activity of this kind (in my opinion).

There is no real need to do that buddy. Only reason i could see is not being satisfied with your GMA950. Even if thats the reason it's a nice card for a laptop, supported in OS-X, QE/CI enabled. Better card only if you intend to play really high demanding games. I used to play Quake and Doom 3 on my C2D MacBook with the same graphics and it run very well. And if processor is Intel DualCore or Core2Duo then you'll be more than satisfied with your laptop.

You can invest a little and upgrade it with 1 more gig of ram. You can do it yourself and it'll be pretty cheap. With 2 GB of ram it will work like a charm. You can also replace your hdd with a bigger one but they're around $70-$80, so you can do it and you don't have to, or at least if there is a real need.

Hi kisho,

I agree with milanca.
Furthermore, from an ethical point of view, I don't understand how you could do that.

Would you really break your old laptop to lie right to the face of HP?

Sorry, but I definitely distance myself from this kind of activities, and I'd like you to do so, too. If not everywhere, at least here at InfiniteMac.

Kind Regards,
Puttabong

well my processor is intel celeron M so i dont like it that much because it is kind of slow. I might just a get a new laptop, and Puttabong i broke my computer and no i didnt give it to HP directly instead i took a 3 year warranty and whatever happens the store has to deal with it so if the store cant fix then they will send it to HP and if HP cant fix it then they will give me a new one. Thats how it works.
