I downloaded the iso, and I was able to go further than with LEO (LEO seemed to hang during USB setup); however, i am still getting a kernal panic during installation. The only device connected to the computer during installation is a PS/2 keyboard; because of disabling usb legacy support, i cannot get the usb keyboard to work.
I have a ASUS M2A mb with the latest BIOS. I have switched the SATA controller to AHCI and disabled usb legacy. The hard drive is SATA along with the DVD drive. The graphics card is GeForce 8800. The processor is a AMD quad 9500. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Bob |

fixed shutdown
I like this release. Just 'acquired' it the other day and so far no problems. It even fixed my shutdown issue. My fan and LED were staying on after the power off process. No openhaltrestart.kext or shutdown fix needed at all. Tried everything with iPC to fix this issue with no luck. What a nice surprise with the XxX release when I went to shutdown and everything powered off like it should (ok so it doesn't take much to make me happy).

I can't seem to get everything working. I am typing this on a machine running iDeneb 1.4, but have to boot with -x to get it up and running. I think the problem is with the graphics I have a Biostar TA790 with SB700 with AMD X2 7750BE and ATI 4850. I have found all kinds of different downloads for the ATI, but none of them work. All the solutions I've seen for it do not work with my config. I've also tried upgrading to 10.5.7 with the iDeneb upgrade which is the farthest I've gotten with this machine giving the fact that even booting in -x I could get the correct screen resolution. In 10.5.6 I can't get past 1024X768. I have tried everything I can think of to try and make this work. What is most frustrating is that I see other people have similar machines running is perfectly. After suffering from iAtkos V7's troubles.
I have spent the past few weeks, attempting to use iAtkos V7 on my newly purchased Dell. (Acquired due to impressively better specs when compared to the MacBook Pro 13")
I have been following a guide written for XxX 10.5.6, and realize that perhaps in this case, the original is the way to go. (Ironic, yes.) Currently, PirateBay is offering it up at something to the effect of 1.4 kpbs. If it were possible, I was wondering if you might be able to share the mediafire link? Thanks in advance, bfbruin |
