Try booting with -v and when it KPs you should get some diagnostic code on the screen with "you need to restart your computer". Take a picture of that...

No QE/CI=crashing virtualization apps like Parallels and Crossover. That's just how the programs are. Make sure your video is hardware-accelerated and if not try and find a kext for it.

Perhaps there's a wake-on-USB setting in your BIOS and it's messing with OS X sleeping?
