Did you notice that the kernel is for 10.6.2 and not 10.6.3? Wait for a new kernel based on 10.6.3.

The only thing my mod does is correctly detect the FSB speed for AMD Phenoms and Shanghai processors allowing them to run at speeds higher than 3.0 GHz without kernel panic. If you have a Phenom I or...

AMD FSB fix

Hey, you should check out my modified AnV kernel with corrected Phenom FSB detection. It will eliminate the need to use FSB=200000000. It basically doubles the detected FSB so that you can still...

I just use the vanilla System.kext. I actually don't have any modified Apple kexts in my system. Try that and see if it works. Also, make sure you're using PC_EFIv10.5 as it seems to work the best.

Hi guys,

I am making available a kernel that I modified from the 10.2.0 AnV/Qoopz diff file that includes a corrected FSB detection specifically for Phenoms. I did not alter the diff in any other...

Hey RetroRen,

You know how we had to downclock our processors to 3.0GHz to get them to work? Well, I have a kernel you can use with 10.6.2 if you want which will allow you to theoretically...

Ok, so I fixed this myself. I can only vouch for phenoms so far as I don't have any Intel machines to test on, but by multiplying the EFI detected FSB Frequency by 2, the kernel correctly identifies...

Hey Andy. Thanks for the new kernel. I just have a question though. I have an AMD Phenom and the kernel detects the busratio as double the actual busratio, resulting in a ratio cap of 30. This seems...

There is no such thing as a kext for a chipset. There are kexts for the ethernet, sound, ATA/SATA and such that are part of a chipset, but nothing for the chipset itself.
