i have read other people have issues with IDE devices best to stick to SATA drives. but with the bios settings, i think that the defaut will work.

nope you need to buy a new one, even better look for secondhand, got one on ebay for like 5$ and it works out of the box! no need to do anything, just look up the HCL and you will be fine!

no this is normal, i had the same problem and it turned out that i had to change DVI ports on my video card, i think its something like it thinks that you have a second monitor and its not turned on....

it could be a External Drive issue? all my installs have been with internal HD's also check your BIOS settings. Look for USB keyboard/Mouse and make sure thats turn on.. nothing more i can think of.....
