I guess I was lucky. I've been running Macs since I got my first computer. As a project, I built my PC for Ubuntu and XP, based on price/speed. OSX86 was an afterthought. Everything worked with a little effort except the onboard ethernet, which I solved with an NIC. OSX86 has replaced my G5 as my main machine.
If I had thought about OSX86 when I bought the components for my PC, I probably would have bought an Intel.
