i have just bought a new Tenda TEL9939DI lan adapter, but the computer does not see it. i have reinstalled with the vanilla disk image because I was told that a PCI lan card with a rtl8139d chip should work, is this not the case, does anyone have any suggestions?
my set up
MB: Gigabyte GA-M61P-S3
CPU: AMD A64 X2 6000 3.0 AM2
Mem: 1Gbx2 GSKILL
sound: integrated on board
graphics: integrated on board
Dvd: Lite On
Hard Drive: Maxtor 5T020H2 (old but works)
on board motherboard audio is : Realtek ALC883 codec chip
on board motherboard lan is Realtec RTL8211
on board motherboard video is nvidia 6100/ nforce 430 chipset
On board lan is turned off, so is firewire. audio still not working, but i dont care about that right now.
when i look at "about this Mac" it tells me that no PCI card is installed, but the green light on the lan card is on and blinks from time to time.
thanks for the help!
