Hi. I'm running the new 10.5.2 rev.2 install and I have some problems with graphics.

I selected the x1600 kext in the installer but I didn't get CI/CE or resolution switching. This card worked flawlessly in Tiger and I tried using kexts from the rev.1 dvd, an old Natit from my 10.4.8 dvd but I can't get it to work. When using the old Natit kext, the usual messages (-v at boot) showed up but still the same problems in Finder... Anyone got a solution? This is the first leo dvd that worked for me and it would be awesome with some graphics acceleration too ![]() Thanks |

I actually made it (partially) work using the manual install guide.

My only concern now is that I need the original ATIRadeonX1000.kext from the DVD and that damn install DVD wont mount in OSX... anyone else got that "problem"? I need it to properly enable QE/CI... |

I figured the update was included on the rev.2 dvd.. Is it not?

It won't show up in System Update. When I tried to edit my (original) ATIRadeonX1000.kext to achieve CI/QE I got stuck at a blue screen when loginwindow is loaded. |

yeah I tried with the graphics update but still the same...light blue screen with no cursor or anything...

Shift+Ctrl+Eject didn't do anything either.. I tried this with a fresh reinstall of Leopard as well, but still no go. Thanks anyway Any more suggestions? I'd really appreciate it edit: I did of course follow the guide and modified the files this time too.. |

The 10.5.2 DVD doesn't install ATINDRV.kext. I uploaded the modified kexts from the Leopard Graphics Update, had to use rapidshare 'cuase of the 1 KB limit for attachments. Here's the link:

		 Sweet!

I tried with an old ATINDRV.kext from Tiger but didn't get it working. I'll try your files as soon as I get home from work. Are they patched for 0x71c2? edit: I'm thinking about doing this on a fresh install. I'll install the original graphics update then copy your files, right? Thanks alot! |

Yep, they are patched for 71c2 but I preserved the old IDs, so they could run with other compatible cards.
