You should patch /System/Library/CoreServices/SystemUIServer.app and /System/Library/LoginPlugins/BezelServices.loginPlugin with Marvin to get the volume keys to work again. Also in my system FrontRow works if I don't patch it (/System/Library/CoreServices/Front Row.app), try it.
