Testing Snow Leopard On The eMachine W3619
Well after my original post about installing Leopard on the eMachine W3619, I thought it was about time I got Snow Leopard on the system, but I have upgraded my memory... I had 512MB of RAM and now have 2GB, the system flys now with Snow Leopard, but I have two problems the intel GMA 950 is recognized but I still don't have accerated 2D and 3D graphics, and also my ethernat card a rt8100c 10/100 card is downloading Firefox at 5.6KB !? What goes on here!? It's using the rtl8139 kext which seems normal...
I think the display can be solved by just installing the patched GMA 950 kext, but the ethernet leaves me wondering...
Here are my current specs...
eMachine W3619
Mac OS X Leopard 10.5.6
Processor: Intel Celeron D
Motherboard: ECS 945GCT-M3
LAN: Realtek: RTL8100C
Video: Intel GMA 950
Hard Drive: 500GB SATA
RAM: 2GB DDR2
I will post specifics for running Snow Leopard on this machine in detail in my next post.
