Realtek 8187B in iAtkos 10.6.3 S3 v2

Hi,
I checked the compatibility list and the 8187B adapter (usb) I have is fully supported.
When the box boots the Realtek software just sits in the task bar bouncing and then fails.
Any advice? REALLY want to get wireless working in 10.6.3, will even consider buying more wireless cards - works fine in 10.5 but my sound doesnt (Intel HDA)
