Funny enough, soon after I created this thread, I found my answer....on this website nonetheless.

Someone attached a custom kext to their post on another thread (sorry I don't remember which one and who it was....I think devil was his name or something like that).

Here's that same kext that he posted for those that may be experiencing the same issue I did.
