lol in the first post you said you want to stick to amd, but in the follwoing post you started talking about intel i guess you forgot what you wanted. As a former OS X AMD and future Intel user i recommend you get an intel processor, comparing an AMD with an Intel procesor: AMD is good for gaming and normal pc experience | Intel is good for processing power and games but less than AMD. Intel is the best choice for OS X not only because Apple uses Intel chips in the new Mac but because OS X is designed for processing power and for normal users.

yes i know

the problem was that i was not shure which one i should prefer .. but i think i will buy the asus amd board and keep most of my components ... for the first time .. if this will not work for me i will buy an intel board.

so im back at amd

mine works a charm you need to build the install tho but its easy if you do it on usb first. click on my username for specs

well hellonwheels, sorry for my late reply i was off for a few days
my board is Nvidia 570 Ultra Chipset and everything works except the dual net thingy which is not useable with the forcedeth driver, so i had to by myself a cheap realtek card The name of the board is MSI k9N Platinum. I have zephyroths 10.5.1 installed and updated to 10.5.4 with ASU and modbin kernel 9.4.0

Gigabyte boards are great for Intel based macs but also for AMD/am2. I have GA-MA-790X DS4 and i'm very satisfied with it.

I would thoroughly recommend an ironing board but not much use for OSx but the stratup times are phenomenal

i have an "ASRock ALiveNF5-eSATA2+ R3.o" (Bios Rev. 2.00a)
its very fast and stable, very suggestable in my opinion!
in german that board is about 39euro!!!
