It's a 1GHz Apple A4 custom-designed, high-performance, low-power system-on-a-chip.

The Iphone uses an ARM processor manufactured by Samsung. There are other processors like the one Qualcomm makes for the Google Nexus. Im not sure if Apple would be getting into the actual design and manufacturing of processors but maybe. .... I see your edit. I guess so. Interesting to see where that goes.

Seems interesting, and quite cheap. I'll take a look at it in the shop, and who knows - maybe i'll get one. I can think of many ways to use it in my daily life...

Personally, Apple hass messed up this time, I and most other people were hoping for a full Intel Snow leopard Tablet not just another GIANT iPod Touch. with apps. that are made only just for it.

Don't get me wrong I think it is a great idea and I would probably use it more than my netbook but I think they blew it out of proportions as being the greatest thing ever from Apple.

If I were them I would have been like "We got bored and built this... its no big deal. Wait and see what we come up with next."
