It's a 1GHz Apple A4 custom-designed, high-performance, low-power system-on-a-chip.

The Iphone uses an ARM processor manufactured by Samsung. There are other processors like the one Qualcomm makes for the Google Nexus.

Seems interesting, and quite cheap. I'll take a look at it in the shop, and who knows - maybe i'll get one. I can think of many ways to use it in my daily life...

Personally, Apple hass messed up this time, I and most other people were hoping for a full Intel Snow leopard Tablet not just another GIANT iPod Touch. with apps. that are made only just for it.

Don't get me wrong I think it is a great idea and I would probably use it more than my netbook but I think they blew it out of proportions as being the greatest thing ever from Apple.
If I were them I would have been like "We got bored and built this... its no big deal. Wait and see what we come up with next."
