If you are not using any ata drives at all the jmicron kexts are not needed. Actually I never used Jmicron at all when I was still using an IDE drive fro my old dvd burner and old HD. Used another drive though. Still if ya are only using sata straight through the jmicron feels a bit to much, but I will try your method in a day though and crossing me fingers ( have 64 bits kext for me graphic card and sound card allready so I should be prepared
