First, thx for the tutorial!
No go here with my non vanilla system... if i put the snow boot on my botting partition, it brokes my 2 Leo installs (1 HD in GUID with 3 partitons, 2 Leo and 1 for Snow), but the snow kernel loads and stop, i,'ve used -v, -f, -legacy, -x, but it hangs.... and he reset my CMOS too, it happens with me on some Leopard betas, but i dont remember how to solve it, prolly is somthing related with LaunchDaemons, but i cant remember, if someone have a solution or a tip, thx in advance. I will try again this week, lets see. |

Thanks for the great guide. I installed SL in a second partition along with leopard but now I have the following problem.. If I use the 64bit boot file I can boot SL but leopard won't work.. and of course SL does not work wit the basic Pc_efi v9 boot file.. Any suggestion on how to fix this? I also tried to instal pc_efi v9 with boot 64bit on a usb stick but it won't see my Hard drive partitions.. Thank you for any suggestion..

Nope, shouldn't do
![]() @B666: The cause of the boot freeze on non-vanilla systems is DmitriK's Legacy kernel causing the problem, unfortunately it has not been fixed yet. @Drbee: That is just weird. I am able to boot both Snow Leo, and Leo on the same HDD. I'm sorry I do not know a fix for that ![]() My Specs ![]() System:Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo Li 2735 Notebook OS:Mac OS X Snow Leopard Retail 10.6.2 w/Vanilla Kernel & Windows 7 CPU:Intel Core 2 Duo (Merom) T5550 @ 1.83 GHz Memory:2 GB DDR2 SDRAM @ 800 MHz Graphics Chip: Intel GMA X3100 Audio Chip: Realtek ALC268 Add me on: Skype: sacleocheater AIM: SaCleoCheater@aim.com GTalk/Email: laptopneedsproj@gmail.com |

No, its GUID, but i already solved it:P I just forgot to click "customize" while installing.
But I have another problem. After success install of OS an PC EFI v9 it hangs on Darwin bootloader. I mean it says like: "Loading Darwin's bootloader Loading [mach_kernel] bla bla bla Loading [mach_kernel] bla bla bla" and nothing happens:/ Maybe I have wrong "boot" file or something? Or maybe I should w8 for 380 to download? Here is the way I installed it: First I installed PC EFI (from some netkast installer) on Leo 10.5.7 partition (is it right way?) Here are my HDDs: 1st HDD: 1st partition: Leopard HD (here is my 10.5.7 installed) 2nd partition: My files 3rd partition: SL HD 2nd HDD: 1st Partition: Restored Snow Leo image file, where I install from. After successful installation I put "boot" file in SL HD, correct? Then I instal some .kexts under 10.5.7 to SL HD to get keyboard and mouse working. Did I do something wrong? After that I wated to instal SL on that 2nd HDD but Darwin bootloader from PC EFI doesn't see my second HD:/ What can be cause of this? Some wrong .kexts? Sorry about my english if its shitty in some sentences:P CPU:C2D E4400@3GHz GPU: 8800 GTS 640MB MOBO: Gigabyte P35C-DS3R RAM: 4GB OCz 800MHz Platinum rev. 2 HDDs: 1x 250GB SATA, 1x 500GB SATA (both from Seagate) DISPLAY: Flatron L1960TR Running iPC 10.5.6(10.5.7 updated) Trying to instal Snow...without success:/ |

Place the boot file in the root of all partitions you want to be able to boot
![]() And for the kernel, did you tried Dmitrik's one?
